GROUP EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Bob-Moore
Robert Moore
Group Chief Executive

Bob joined MCL, when it was Mitras Composites (UK) Ltd, as Managing Director in March 1999, having previously worked as a Divisional Operations Director for British Polyethene Industries plc.

He successfully led the MBO to purchase Mitras Composites (UK) Limited from Admira in December 2001, which led to the formation of Moorland Composites Limited.

Bob has a degree in Polymer Science and Technology and gained a post-graduate Diploma in Management Studies after studying at Kingston Business School. Before joining Mitras, Bob’s worked in FMCG retail operations and lean manufacturing and he has successfully grown the MCL Group both organically and through a number of strategic acquisitions.

Nick Cowley
Nick Cowley
Group Managing Director

Nick joined in April 2015 as Group Managing Director, to assist in achieving the strategic plans and growing the business. Nick has an engineering background, having studied mechanical and electrical engineering and has a degree in Science. More recently he has completed an MBA at Leeds University Business School.

Before joining Nick had a long career with an international company at Director level, living and working abroad with a variety of responsibilities in operational and commercial activities, from establishing new manufacturing facilities in Eastern Europe to developing and executing marketing plans to grow sales within the Middle East.

Andy Hobbis
Group Business Development Director

Andy joined MCL in April 2012 and is responsible for the MCL Industrial Enclosures business based in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent.

Andy began his career  at British Aerospace where he served an apprenticeship and later went on to do a degree at Leeds Metropolitan University and a Post Graduate Diploma at Warwick University.

His experience has been gained across a broad spectrum of industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics and Construction where he has held senior management positions.

Mark Owen
MCL Infrastructure Business Director

Mark joined the group as Business Development Director in 2009 and is responsible for achieving and managing the MCL Infrastructure sales budget and managing the sales team, ensuring all of their UK and European customers receive a first class quotation, technical and after sales support service.

Mark has over 25 years experience in manufacturing and distribution of underground pipe and access chamber products, technically promoting these high quality engineered products throughout the Building, Civil and Utility markets.

Geoff Selby
Supply Chain Director

Geoff joined the company in 2000 as Planning & Purchasing Manager and for the first three years he was responsible for creating a forward thinking and proactive planning function ensuring that MCL could meet and service the ever growing requirements of its customers.

Geoff has over 30 years experience in operations management and possesses practical ‘lean’ management skills and experience in manufacturing, logistics, health & safety, planning and customer service.

In 2003, Geoff became Supply Chain Director and is now responsible for the operations management team covering all operations including manufacturing, engineering, logistics, site services and human resource/employment Law.

Helen Brammeld
Group Customer Services & Marketing Manager

Helen’s key responsibilities are marketing for the MCL group and managing the MCL Composites sales office.  Helen joined the company in 2004 as a sales account manager dealing mainly with Bombardier Transportation and the company’s Manufacturing Systems customers.  Over the years, as the group has expanded, Helen took on the responsibility of the sales office and developed the administration systems and procedures to help manage the increasing range of products and the growing customer base.

Helen’s primary KPI is MCL Composites’ On Time Delivery Performance which is targeted at, and regularly achieves, 95% OTIF.

Andrew Wright
Group Finance Director

Andrew joined MCL in February 1999 to head up the finance team, with additional responsibility for business systems and administration.

As Finance Director he has had a key role in the formation of the MCL Group and it’s subsequent growth. This included identification and analysis of target acquisitions through to deal completion and subsequent integration into the group.

He has many years experience of operating as a senior finance professional in the manufacturing sector, working for UK Plc’s and multinational groups, including Polypipe, BTR and Sonoco.

Jonathan Edgoose
MCL Utility Business Director

Jonathan joined MCL in 2001 and was part of the senior MBO team that purchased the business in that year. Jonathan’s key responsibilities include overall responsibility for achieving the budgeted group sales and managing the key utility accounts. These accounts include all of the major gas and electric utility companies and the national builders merchants and distributors. He also has responsibility for sales of the newly developed Radlock Highway composite carriageway system.

Jonathan has over 15 year’s experience is supplying meter boxes into the UK market, and is known as the ‘Meter Box Man’ by many who know him.

John Griffiths
MCL Infrastructure Business Development Manager, Southern Region

John joined MCL early in 2010 to expand and develop its business within the Utility and Infrastructure markets.

John’s role within the business is combined with both a high level of customer service & hands on technical support, generating sales from point of enquiry to installation, within many varied market sectors from Utility to major building & civil projects throughout the UK.

John’s extensive technical & commercial understanding of manufacturing GRP underground chambers and access covers ensures he can provide our customers with the valuable advice and support they need.

Steve Gill
Steve Gill
MCL Infrastructure Business Development Manager, Northern Region

Steve joined MCL in January in order to further develop the infrastructure business and continue to expand MCL’s products into new and exisiting markets.

Previously, Steve has a wealth of experience in the Highway and Utility markets, with over 10 years working in sales, new product development and contract frameworks.

His knowledge and experience will help to increase market awareness of MCL’s full infrastructure product range in the Northern Regions.

Richard Wiggin
Richard Wiggin
MCL Industrial Enclosures Business Development Manager

Richard joined MCL in October 2015 to further develop the utility business at MCL Industrial Enclosures.

With over 20 years’ experience in sales, Richard has a wealth of technical insight into the industrial piping and civils markets. His experience includes water attenuation and storm control valves and fittings, with knowledge into the Utility markets and its customers.

Richard’s role in the company is to support the Utility Business, helping to expand and create long lasting contacts and relationships within the water market.
