External accreditation and certification of our products and services is important as it demonstrates commitment and compliance to our customers, but also assists us in achieving our objectives and to continually improve.

ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally recognized quality management standard. MCL are certificated and audited by the British Standards Institution, BSI to ISO 9001:2008.

The certification covers our complete range of products and all our group sites.

The UVDB Verify audit and assessment service focuses on risk critical issues and provides demonstrable compliance to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality requirements.

It provides independent assessment and benchmarking; credibility in the market placeassurance for our customers and industry specific assessments.

MCL have achieved UVDB Verify rating which allows us to demonstrate compliance to health, safety, environment and quality requirements.

Annually have we have been submitted to a review of our systems and records and we have achieved a continual improvement in the ratings achieving 100% compliance in many classifications.

All of our installation staff are CSCS registered with all projects being directly controlled on-site as well as within the office’.

LPCB is part of BRE Global. It is an independent third party approvals body offering certification of fire, security and sustainable products and services to an international market.

The LPCB mark and listings signify that products and services have been approved by LPCB. MCL have products approved and listed within the LPCB Red Book, to achieve this prestigious approval our products are rigorously tested and our manufacturing sites are annually audited.

The Red Book is an essential reference for specifiers, regulators, designers and end users of these products and services.

MCL are engaged in sectors where we need to have a high level and technical skills at the heart of our business.

We have developed many people, developing their skills “on the job” as they have progressed through their careers. These are skills, which are not always accredited, and Cogent are working with the National Skills Academies for Process Industries to put in place systems, which recognise this experience.

Cogent is the Sector Skills Council (SSC) for the Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Petroleum and Polymer Industries. They are licensed by Government to help employers in these science-using industries to address their workforce development needs so that they can compete successfully.

MCL through Radlock Highway Systems provides both the Radlock Carriageway and footpath systems to NJUG members for use on their sites.

The National Joint Utilities Group was formed:
To promote all utilities and their contractors to strive for continuous improvement and high quality in all aspects of carry out street works.
To encourage all utilities and their contractors to communicate effectively with the public on all aspects of street works before they take place and whilst in progress.
To ensure all utilities work together and in partnership with local authorities to minimise disruption.
To ensure all utilities and their contractors take all practical steps to maximise the use of sustainable methods and materials such a minimum dig technology, reducing the amount of material that goes to landfill.

MCL is a proud member of the Composites UK Trade Association, supporting and promoting the use of composite resources and developments.

Composites UK is the Trade Body for the UK composites industry. Its aim is to support the industry so that it may continue to grow and participate in the increasingly competitive world of global composite production.
